RULES AND REGULATIONS

Disciplinary Rules
The following Rules and Regulations are not meant to curtail the freedom of the individual. They are meant for their orderly growth in a well regulated Community. They also help to define the character of the individual and the Students are advised to abide by them and reap the benefits of a disciplined life.

For the Attention of the Students

  1. The full school uniform, white ribbons, tie, belt must be worn on all school days. Black closed shoes with flat heels are compulsory. Slippers and sandals are not allowed. No jewels or flowers should be used along with the school uniform.
  2. The school hours from 8.45am to 12.30pm and from 1.10pm to 3,30pm. Students should be in their classes before the first bell at 8.35am. All late comers must get the signature of the Principal in the hand book before going to class. Regular late-comers will be fined. Announcement will be made on Fridays regarding Saturday as a holiday (or) working day.
  3. Perfect silence should be maintained during and after the Assembly.
  4. No Students should be seen loitering around during class hours, or leave the school premises without the explicit permission of the Principal.
  5. Students are expected to be regular and to avoid taking leave as for as possible. No student shall be absent from school without prior permission. A written application either by the parent or by any responsible person shall be made will in advance to the principal. In case of illness it should be informed to the principal in time and the students must produce a Medical Certificate when they return to school. If a student is absent continuously without prior intimation, the name will be struck off form the register.
  6. Students are expected to maintain personal cleanliness and keep the class rooms and campus clean.
  7. Students are solely responsible for their belongings, books, writing materials, fitting boxes, etc.
  8. Whatever be the nature of damage done to school property it must be made good by the students concerned.
  9. No magazines or Periodicals should be brought and circulated in the school. No gifts, no collections by students or teachers can be made without the prior permission of the Principal. The students are not allowed to engage themselves in activities such as carrying letters, buying and selling of articles among themselves, borrowing or lending money, organizing meetings etc.
  10. Irregular attendance, habitual idleness, disobedience, any kind of cheating or misbehavior, injurious to the moral tone of the school is sufficient reasons for the disciplinary action.
  11. Due respect should be given to teachers. Teacher and students should speak in English and  encourage the children to speak in English at home also.
  12. No exemption from physical exercise or organized games will be made without a medical certificate.
  13. The students shall at all times maintain the traditional & well established values of the school inside and outside the campus.
  14. If a student is absent for the tests or exams, No re-test or exam will be conducted.
  15. The entire student must be present for all the functions of the school.

For the Attention of the Parents
Parents have the prime responsibility in education their children. They should not try to shift their responsibility to the school or to the staff. They should devote their time and attention to the formation of the student and co-operate with the school authorities.

  1. The parents / guardians are advised to see to it that their children strictly follow the rules and regulations mentioned above.
  2. Parents should endeavor to continue at home the good habits of study and personal behaviors imparted to the students at school, such as regular and adequate hours of study, preparation of daily lessons, time for recreation and cultural activities and performance of religious duties.
  3. Presence at Parent-Teachers meet is compulsory.
  4. Catholic Parents are expected to bring up their children in a catholic atmosphere at home and to co-operate with the school in its effects to impart to them a sound catholic formation.
  5. Parents should avoid Planning outings and pilgrimages on school days. They should see that their children are present at the re-opening of school days of each term and on Examination days.
  6. Parents or servants are not allowed to meet their children or teachers. In case of an emergency they should approach the Principal and obtain necessary Permission.
  7. All communications, complaints, enquiries regarding the welfare of the students should be made to the principal and not to any member of the staff.
  8. Parents / Guardians may fix an appointment and meet the Principal in her office during the morning session on school days.
  9. Parents / Guardians are warned that a student who has to repeat a class for the third year will have to leave the school.
  10. Promotion / results will be sent to the Parents / Guardians by post normally during the fourth week of April.
  11. No T.C. will be issued before the promotion results are announced.
  12. Change of address of Parents / Guardians should be notified to the Principal without delay.
  13. Children are to be in bed at 8.45pm and are expected to rise at 6.00am.
